3 New Content Mediums To Try This Year
We love a good Instagram, don’t get us wrong! But there are so many different avenues of influence to explore, and this year, we are encouraging you all to experiment with new platforms, apps, and potential revenue streams.
Here are a few mediums to try out now!
TikTok
It’s the new social media app everyone is talking about. Think of it as the perfect marriage between Instagram Stories and Vine; you can create fun, off-the-cuff videos set to music that live on your feed. We love how TikTok makes it easy to discover new creators, especially with popular trends and TikTok challenges that can easily go viral. The app is user-friendly too, making it a breeze for newcomers to master this platform. Try it out for yourself!
Podcasting
Who doesn’t love a good podcast on the morning commute? If you are an expert in a particular area, want to interview guests, or just have something you are passionate about that you want to share with your followers, a podcast is a great way to expand your channels of influence and build a whole new audience.

Blogging
Remember that blog you started 10 years ago? It’s time to bring it back! While a lot of creators have abandoned their long-form blogs and websites for the quicker, wider-reaching medium that is Instagram, maintaining a blog in 2020 is hugely beneficial. Not only do we encourage everyone to have a website that they own where they can showcase their work (think about it: what if Instagram disappeared tomorrow? What would you do?) but blogging is a great way to express yourself in a creative way that can still be limited on social media.
If you jump back into blogging this year, we suggest establishing a realistic content calendar that isn’t too difficult to maintain; maybe once every week or two. We promise that once you get into a regular rhythm of posting new content to your website, you’ll wonder why you weren’t taking blogging seriously sooner!
