Meet the Stylist: Rebecca Resnick
Rebecca Resnick, a well respected fashion and accessories editor for ten years at magazine's including Vogue, Teen Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar, embarked on a new career path in 2006. Since then, she has developed a reputation as one of the top celebrity stylists and fashion consultants to high profile personalities, fashion publications, television actors, movie stars, and fashion 500 companies.

In 2009 Rebecca joined forces with fellow stylist, Ruth Sonnenshein, to form A Clothes Call. Through A Clothes Call, these two have created what seemed to be the inevitable – that everyday people could benefit from having two well respected fashion stylists editing their own personal wardrobes. Between New York and Los Angeles this dynamic pair aides in wardrobe consulting, personal shopping, vacation packing, and many other fashion needs.
We recently interviewed Rebecca and we are thrilled to have you get to know her a little more! See our chat below:
SS: Tell us the story behind your favorite wardrobe item.
Rebecca: My favorite wardrobe item has to be my first quilited Chanel classic. I was an assistant at Vogue and it was a Christmas gift from the Chanel team, and I still cherish it to this day!
SS: What's your most memorable 'panic moment'?
Rebecca: Most memorable panic moment was when I had Zac Posen create a custom Emmy gown for Mariska Hargitay. It was gorgeous, but Mariska lost a bit of weight just before the Emmys and we had to call a tailor to the Beverly Hills Hotel for last minute alterations just hours before the red carpet. I was so nervous it couldn't be done, but all worked out and she was stunning in her gown!
SS: How did you recover from it gracefully?
Rebecca: I had to be cool as a cucumber and put all my faith in my trusty tailor, Tatiana. She's a miracle worker which did put me at ease.
SS: What is your favorite era for fashion?
Rebecca: My favorite fashion era has to be the 70's. I love the ease of bohemian dressing especially beautiful white cottons and lace and embroidery, mixed with some denim. Romantic silhouettes with beautiful accessories are my idea of feminine and sexy.
SS: What was your big break?
Rebecca: There wasn't one big break for me, I was blessed to begin with a job in the accessories department of Vogue straight out of college, and the rest fell into place.
SS: Whose closet would you most like to raid?
Rebecca: I would love to raid Kate Moss' closet- who wouldn't!?
SS: Who are your favorite designers?
Rebecca: My favorite designers are Celine, Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, old Phoebe Philo for Chloe, nicolas ghesquière for Balenciaga, proenza schouler, mixed with some Isabel Marant and APC.
