Lilly Ghalichi Adds to Business Portfolio
In the digital space, order influencers are taking the world by storm. Lilly Ghalichi’s fame began on Bravo’s Shahs of Sunset but she used her background as an attorney to her advantage. Many reality starsuse their popularity and turn it into a business, cheapest but Lilly has taken this concept to another level and has successfully launched seven brands within her Ghalichi Glam portfolio and continuously growing. With over 1.2 million followers on Instagram, she has such influence that shopping websites have crashed by her linking to them. She hosts “How to live like a boss” seminars, beauty tutorials both online and all over the world and most recently launched her own champagne called Glampagne.
Businesswoman Lilly Ghalichi has a lot more to her than meets the eye. She may look like a Persian Barbie on the outside, but this bombshell comes along with intelligence and drive on the inside. As an Attorney, Lilly understands the extreme importance of education as a tool of empowerment. She attended the Red McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She furthered her formal education at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where she received her Juris Doctor with honors (graduating Cum Laude / Order of the Coif), and became a licensed Attorney in the State of California. Fashion and design have always been passions of Lilly’s, so it is no surprise she co-owns and designs for two fashion companies, a Beverly Hills based line of Luxury Swimwear Have Faith-Swimgerie, and an affordable fashion retailer providing celebrity looks for less, WantMyLook.com. Lilly expanded her entrepreneurial reach into the glam world, coining the term “Ghalichi Glam” and creating her own line of glamorous eyelashes, Lilly Lashes, and her own line of luxe human hair extensions, Lilly Hair. Lilly’s most recent glam endeavor includes launching a line of fine jewelery, the Lilly Ghalichi Collection by Avitan and Glampagne. As an avid fashionista and lover of everything fun, fabulous and fierce, Lilly shares her personal fashions and stories with the world via her blog, www.lillyghalichi.blogspot.com. Bravo’s The Shah’s of Sunset star Lilly Ghalichi is definitely living proof that you should not judge a book by its cover.

Who was your inspiration to pursue your dreams?
My parents are 100% my inspiration in all that I do. They came to this country as teenagers with no money, no family, nothing but the American Dream. As teenagers they managed to put themselves through college, teach themselves English, and raise 3 kids. They had no help and struggled for years, but they never stopped working, they never stopped trying, and today they are self made successful entrepreneurs.
What are you wearing right now?
I’m wearing a dress from the “Lilly Ghalichi for WantMyLook” runway collection fresh off the runway! I debuted my collection at NYFW last week, and this dress is fresh off the runway, literally I took it off the model! Its a fun, flirty faux leather skater dress.
What has been one of your biggest career challenges? How did you overcome it?
In the beginning, motivating myself to WORK HARD was a challenge. As a young girl in LA, it’s easy to get caught up in “the life”. Parties, lunches, vacations – it seems everyone in LA does anything and everything BUT work. If you want to be successful, you HAVE to put in the work, you have to put in your time. Period. As a young single girl, I had to tell myself, it’s not so important to “find a husband”, it’s not so important to go to this party or on this trip, but it IS important to work hard and create myself. It IS important to work as hard as I can today to secure my future. Once I thought about things relatively, I overcame any sense of “missing out” I was feeling and devoted my time and energy into my career.
What is one of your greatest defining moments within the industry?
Having my mom front row at my fashion show during New York Fashion Week. She had never been to New York, or a fashion show, so to have her first be her own daughters was such an incredible moment for me.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
To make a to-do list, every single night. Write at least 3 things on that list that you will accomplish the next day to further your dream. As juvenile as that may sound, this advice has single handedly helped me so much in my career.
