Our Relaxing #SIMPLYTravels Weekend At The Golden Door

Sometimes you just need a few days to get off the grid, relax, and refresh. We love working in the influencer world, checking social media constantly, and getting s*** done all day long, but even we can find ourselves stuck on that hamster wheel.
So instead of just staying on that wheel forever, we hopped off for a few days and ventured down to Golden Door in San Diego County. Golden Door describes itself as an “experience [that] has been designed to empower our guests to reposition themselves at the center of their own lives by tending to their bodies, their minds and their spirits.” It was exactly what we needed, so we called up a few of our favorite influencers and got ready for some needed relaxation!
In a serene setting of bamboo forests and rolling hills, we traded our everyday threads for printed robes and workout gear. For our first evening at Golden Door, we were treated to a private dinner outside and mingled over insanely fresh food, with ingredients that were grown in Golden Door’s own farm.
The next morning it was rise and shine, because we had a sunrise hike! We may not incorporate waking up at the crack of dawn into our routines every morning, but it was so breathtaking to see the sun rise over the mountains and refreshing to take in the crisp morning air.
We followed our morning hike with a few different workouts, from Zumba to body sculpting, then massages and facials before an al fresco lunch. The afternoon was filled with more exercise and pampering, including yoga, manicures, and massages, before we all reconvened for a poolside dinner.

We could have stayed at Golden Door for a week longer (okay, more like a month!) and it was so great to put down our phones for at least a few days and hit the reset button. Most of all though, we loved getting to spend time with some of the influencers we work with and create new friendships!
