Celebrity Makeup Artist Stephen Dimmick Introduces GlossiGirl

Raise your hand if you're a makeup junkie! We are reluctantly raising ours, too; you're not alone! Here at Simply Stylist, we know just how rare it is to find an awesome, affordable lipstick line that offers the perfect shade for every occasion. The life of a #girlboss is all about being a chameleon and luckily, celebrity makeup artist Stephen Dimmick has launched the lipstick line, Glossigirl, with that type of woman in mind!  You've got to kill it in the boardroom, save some spunk for evening cocktails and be easy breezy on the weekends. Sheesh! With a client list that includes Cate Blanchett, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian and Nina Dobrev, Stephen is definitely familiar with fiercely empowered females and what they consider to be an excellent product. #PushOver is our first nude. Now we ALL have our favorite idea of what the perfect nude is. That’s why when we created #PushOver we did NOT even attempt to make the “perfect” nude because it simply doesn’t exist. One shade can never be perfect for everyone. That’s why when we came out with #PushOver I decided on adding a lilac overtone. Thus creating our first colour nude. This colour rocks on bold young go getters not afraid to try anything. One day she’s wearing skyscraper heels and faux fur and a fierce smokey eye and then next day she’s working out a fabulous 50s-inspired skit and winged eyeliner… She may even add a deeper lipliner and work an ombre -she keeps everyone wondering what’s she up to next!!!

#Pinky is powerfully pretty. A wonderful colour that all complexions can wear. n Always stylish and always with an edge! Love pairing #Pinky with a bold brow… Don’t forget to keep the edges of your brow soft and not too hardlined. This will keep a bold brow from being harsh and agin. This #GlossiGirl believes in the power of pretty. She understands that femininity is about strength and kindness.

#Sassy is the for the multitasker! This #GlossiGirl is on the run with little time on her hands because she’s ALWAYS doing something and making things happen. It’s not only the perfect red. It’s also the perfect coral. It’s the perfect balance between sexy and soft. The #Sassy #GlossiGirl is always taken seriously when she needs to be and is the life of the party when the day ends. What’s so delicious about this one is it’s also great to smudge a little on your cheeks for the perfect complimentary blush!

#KicknAss When I initially created this sasstastic colour it was for my friend Marie Walker Riddle. Marie embodies what a #GlossiGirl is. She’d just been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and #KicknAss represented to stand tall speak up and speak out. It’s for all women who have been or are battling the crap that life may sometimes throw at us. It’s not just about surviving...it’s about THRIVING in life. It’s about lifting up ourselves no matter what life throws at us and then lifting up those around us!!! #KicknAss is for everyone no matter what age or where you are in life. It’s the colour of possibility to make this life the most AMAZING life you can have. Make no mistake about it. THIS is who Marie Walker Riddle is. Someone to aspire to. What would I pair this with??? NOTHING. It looks amazing on Marie with just the bare beautiful face!!!

#PoisonApple is the only Matte Satin color in the collection. Why did I choose to make this one Matte Satin and the others cream? Well this Matte Satin harkens back to a bygone era, yet the color I created brings a modern chicness to the idea of a classic red. This #GlossiGirl is self assured. She knows who she is. Aside from wearing this out at night, she might wear this color to the gym or even for a late night dip in the pool. That’s why she’ll pair this with a waterproof mascara. My favorite mascara is Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Splashes waterproof mascara. She doesn’t care what others think about her…Not because she’s a hardass but because she believes to lead by example and show other women that they can be anything they want to be when you use your brain and your heart together!

#MaxdOut A deliciously deep Merlot is sexy and mysterious. Ain’t no shame in coupling this one with a smokey eye either adding a gorgeous gold highlight to the centre of that smokey eye will give it an unexpected pop. This #GlossiGirl believes expensive doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. She knows how to make Gap chic. She’s can find that rare Dior in a thrift store and rocks a bargain like no other and makes everything look Film Noir.
