Blogger of the Week: Meghan Donovan of wit & whimsy
This week’s Blogger of the Week has lived in just about every major fashion hub in the US — Chicago, California, and, her current residence, New York City. So, we are thrilled to announce this week’s Blogger of the Week, Meghan Donovan of wit & whimsy! Meghan Donovan created wit & whimsy in 2006 so she could combine her passions for beauty and fashion in a creative space! Over the years, Meghan has continued to share her personal style and beauty obsessions on the blog, all while maintaining a full-time job in marketing. Apart from drawing inspiration from her favorite places — Paris, London, San Francisco, and the Rocky Mountains — Meghan enjoys scouring NYC for the hottest spots and cramming as many beauty products as she can into her small apartment!
So, without further ado, see below for Meghan’s 5 must-have items! 1) Equipment Signature Blouse: I swear by the Equipment Signature Blouse. It’s great on its own or for layering and is such a perfect elevated basic for your wardrobe. I believe in buying high quality basics you’ll never tire of rather than fast fashion and this blouse is always at the top of my list when it comes to recommending investment pieces.
2) Kate Spade Heels: The Kate Spade Licorice Too Heels in black suede are my go-tos for the ideal black heel. Not too tall, a nice price point and so comfortable! Can you tell I’m a major shoe gal?
3) Cuyana Travel Case Set: I am mildly obsessed with San Francisco-based (my old home!) brand Cuyana. Their mantra is “fewer better” and their classic pieces are so beautifully made. I bring my travel cases on every trip I take and they fit whatever I need. Not to mention you can monogram them which makes for a great gift, too!
4) Jonathan Adler Candle: Before I go to bed I love to have a cup of tea while I wind down and always light a favorite candle. I adore the Jonathan Adler “Pop” candles and the Bourbon scented one is totally my jam. Not to mention, it looks so chic.
5) Rag & Bone Boots: I wear my rag & bone Newbury boots at least once a week and have had them for over two years. They are so comfortable and perfect for walking all over New York City.
